At the stress deformation analysis of membrane structuresEthe present paper represents feature of quadrilateral membrane elementEa bilinear quadrilateral membrane element with one-point quadrature based on the reduced integration techniqueEwhich is expected to have higher computation efficiency. Specially the present paper shows outline of formulation of this element and determination of its analytical algorithm by the tension field analysis. And also this element is compared and discussed with the constant strain triangular elementEor the bilinear quadrilateral element with the normal quadrature through the several numerical analyses.
