Author Kun CHEN,Ken'ichi KAWAGUCHI
Summary In the past researches, tensioned components were widely used as additional stiffeners to improve rigidity of skeletons, and When considering the stiffening effect of tensioned components, their stiffness are always paid great attention to. While in this paper, by according an example in which mechanism cables are utilized to stiffen a column, how stiffness of tensioned Components do not contributing to stiffening skeleton is discussed. Meanwhile, authors propose a parameter called stiffness of pseudo-spring and deduce the buckling control equation of this case. Then by carrying out model experiment and geometrical nonlinear FEM analysis at the same time, the stiffening theory about mechanism tensioned components is verified, and buckling phenomenon of column in model experiment can be replicated in numerical analysis.
