Title FORM FINDING OF DUAL WALL AIR-INFLATED MEMBRANE STRUCTURE IN CONSIDERATION OF SURFACE CURVATURE
Author Masaya KAWABATA
Summary When the distance between drop cords is relatively largeEŒit is thought that the curvature of the membrane surface caused by the internal pressure has a great influence on the shape and structural characteristics of dual wall air-inflated structures. In such casesEŒcurvature of membrane surface must be considered in the process of form finding and structural analysis. The paper refers to the necessity to consider the curvature change in shape analysis. FirstlyEŒthe differences of structural behavior of 6 types of flat dual membrane structure models are shown through shape analysis (inflation). SecondlyEŒthe shape stabilizing conditions of flat dual membrane structure which has free boundary are represented by some equations.
