Summary There causes the problems of cooling load for air conditioning facilities and thermal radiation from membrane surface in summer season as for the large scale membrane structure. Accordingly, it needs to solve these problems and improve comfortable habitability. It is so much expensive to air-condition the whole in the big space structure from view points of investment for air conditioning facilities and running cost and so it is effective to use spot air conditioning We measured for two years the indoor environmental condition in the air supported dome, so called,“Y. G. D OM E" located in Yokohama City, aimming at improving better comfortable habitability for the huge membrane structure. We got the following results from our measurement. The vertical temperature distribution are influenced by Quantity of solar radiation to a large extent, that is, the more measure point is near the membrane, the more temperature rises and temperature layers with difference 3-5.C are composed in the dome and as far as the horizontal temperature distribution is concerned, the temperatures measured at same horizontal level are almost same. The habitabity in a cloudy summer day is comfortable under spot air conditioning. In a fine summer day,it is difficult to get good habitability ,but we can improve it by water sprinkler.
